Moles to Volume Conversion (Brian)

-At a specific pressure and temperature one mole of any gas occupies the same volume
-At 0 Celsius and 101.3 Kilo pascals = 22.4 liters
-This temperature and pressure is called STP
-22.4 L/mol is the molar volume at STP

Example:
A certain gas is found to occupy 11.6L at STP. How many moles of gas are there?
11.6L x 1mol = .518 mol
              22.4L
